My name is Darcy Houle and I'm from Goodfish Lake First Nation on Treaty Six Territory and my first language nehiyawewin (Cree) and a fluent speaker of the language.
Raised in the family that was fluent and a community of speakers, I continue to promote the language by speaking and using nehiyawewin (Cree) on a daily basis.
I also practice the traditional ways such as participating in sweat lodge ceremonies, pipe ceremony and feasts.
